Obituary of Arthur (Art) Joseph Valleè Chouinard
February 6, 1938 - Cochrane, Ontario
October 19, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta
It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Arthur Chouinard, on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at the age of 84 years, after a 2 ½ year battle with cancer.
Art served in the Air Force for 24 years and continued working as a manager for their Canex stores for another 24 years. He was involved with the Holy Spirit Catholic Church and continued a life of service through his involvement in the Knights of Columbus, funeral choir, ushers, etc. Art and Elaine also enjoyed many years of traveling throughout the world.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Digout-Chouinard; three children, Cory, Diane, and Rachel, three stepchildren, Carey, Christine and Andre; and many grandchildren and a great-grandson. He is also survived by his sister Lucy Bernier. He was predeceased by his parents, Eva and Arthur Sr., and his three sisters, Yvette Levis, Annette Levis, and Aurore Dziadovigz.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (10827 – 24th Street S.W., Calgary, AB) on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow at the Jubilee Room. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
