Condolences
I’m so sorry to hear that Pearl is gone. She was such a special lady and Abbey and I adored her.
May she RIP. Beautiful lady. Was one of the most positive woman I have ever met.
God bless.
Wishing a fond farewell to Aunt Pearl; the last of Mykhailo (Gido) and Wasylena’s (Baba) clan of 9 and their spouses. They all lived a long and fruitful life. I loved all my aunts and uncles, but Pearl was more than an aunt to me – she was a second mother. We had many good times together and often shared birthday wishes (as she did with most of her nieces, nephews grandchildren and others). I’m so sorry we couldn’t speak on her 100th but we did on my last birthday, and I last saw her in good form in June.
She had a wonderful sense of humor and often made me laugh. I often recall her comment when we were all at Auntie Nancy’s funeral. She complimented me on a light blue shirt I was wearing saying “did you wash your white shirt with your blue jeans?” One of a kind. She will be missed by many.
Love you forever,
Terry Bidniak & Ruth Koenig
Auntie Pearl was a wonderful soul that will be dearly missed. Whenever she saw me, she would yell out "Koos Katroos" and even as I got older, that never changed. I have many special memories as a child, times spent with her and Papa Joe and their generous and unique gifts they brought us home from their travels, cooking all our favourite treats (she made the world's best nachingka) and all the family get-togethers from Fairmont to Willingdon and places in between!
Later in life when we visited, (usually at my Dad and Sandi's house), it was always filled with funny conversations and those deep belly laughs that she inspired, a lifetime of special moments that will not ever be forgotten.
Rest in peace GG.
With love Koos, Cliff and "Master" Mitchell xo
