Obituary of Marko Radoš

May 4, 1945 – Johovac, Bosnia and Herzegovina

October 26, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta

Marko Radoš of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at the age of 77 years, surrounded by his family.

Marko was born in Johovac, BiH, as the oldest of six kids. He completed his machines locksmith apprenticeship in Sarajevo, BiH, but most of his adult life lived in Doboj, BiH. Marko worked as Purchasing Lead at the City of Doboj transportation company, Bosnaprevoz for 27 years. He immigrated to Canada in 1993 and worked as a machinist until his retirement. Marko was married to his beloved Kaja for 51 years and they were blessed with a son and a daughter, and four grandkids. During his retirement, Marko enjoyed spending time with his close family and travelling back to his homeland to visit family and friends.

Besides his loving wife Kaja, Marko is survived by his son Miro (Alma), daughter Irena (Martin) Milas, and his grandchildren, Lea, Mia, Ayden, and Ena. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Jozo (Milka) Rados, Ruzica Stopic, Marija Stopic, Jela Kozina, and Ivica (Marica) Rados; sister-in-law Marica (Ivan) Lozancic, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McInnis & Holloway (Deerfoot South, 12281 – 40th Street SE, Calgary, AB) on Sunday, October 30, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. 

Funeral Services will be held at Our Lady of Marija Bistrica Croatian Catholic Church (14680 Deer Ridge Dr SE, Calgary, AB) on Monday, October 31, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queens Park Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Church Hall. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
