I met Micah at the New Connections dances in Lethbridge. We had a lot of fun! He was so good to me! I was sad when he moved to Calgary but really enjoyed our time on FaceTime. I still have the picture of us together on my dresser. I will miss you, Micah! I will see you in heaven someday! I hope your family has comfort and peace till they see you too someday in heaven!
Your friend forever,
Judy Sommerfeldt
Dear Micah, I first met you during Covid when you joined some of the WeConnect programs through Between Friends. As your leader in a few, you made me laugh, challenged me and always gave me a new way to look at things. When I finally got to meet you in person during Sunday Bowling and the Dance, you greeted me with the biggest hug & smile. I will always remember your excitement to be with friends again and you dancing with your Mom, it was just so sweet. Safe travels Micah, until we meet again <3
Micah and I would spend 1-2 hrs on the phone talking and I remember we would talk about heaven and what it would be like to dwell there. He would ask me to describe what it would look like and be like. His fascination was truly child- like in his desire to know what heaven was like and to know that himself and his family would one day be there.
My condolences to the family, His peace be upon them and His comfort rest upon the family in this difficult time of mourning.
To start with I am so sorry to Micah’s family, my deepest condolences.

Micah… What can I say, that hasn’t already been said? You were absolutely one of a kind. I knew from the moment we met, that we would be great friends. Your sense of humour, your joy for all thing in life, your shenanigans, always put a big smile on my face. I miss our morning phone calls, that always started with “Good morning Chantelly, my belly!” and always followed up with “did you put on your chapstick today?”. I will think of you every time I put it on (which, as Micah knew, is often!). And our end of the day calls, where you would recap all of the things that you did that day. Mostly Micah, I will miss your hugs. My goodness, you gave the best hugs! Rest In Peace, my dear friend.
To the Phillips family, I thank you for allowing me to be a part of Micah’s life. It was a privilege and an honour to be involved with such an incredible group of people.
Fly high my dear Micah.at the last moment you never forget me. The following day that you're gone, I thought of you and browsing some picture of you in your mom's facebook. I told to my husband that I missed you terribly.Would you imagine that I don't have any idea about what happen to you, But you visit me in my mind to think of you.How God amazing! God knows I cried when I left your team.I was so affected during that time. But I know everything happens for a reason. Rest in Paradise Micah. You are always loved and never forgotten. Thank you for everything. We love you so dearly.
My deepest condolences to the whole family
It was with the deepest sadness that I heard of Micah’s passing. He was someone I had the privilege of working with and became a dear and loved friend. I will never forget his sense of joy , his fun humour and how he loved to know and learn about so many things that were of interest to him. We had many many conversations and he was always delighted to welcome me into his home. We shared a love of faith and would watch live church services on Sunday evenings when we hang out. Micah will be missed - one of those rare people who leave a beautiful and lasting impression !
