Diane, hit me like a ton of bricks when I received this notice on Ben today. Man not many can be called the ‘real deal but he was one of few. As you probably know I got to know Ben from producing shows at Race City Speedway. I was a young promoter who he gave a break and treated me like an equal although he had more in his pocket than my entire net worth at the time. I have always approached business straight up although know how to cut a deal like Ben. I quote Ben often to my Jewish friends when I say that a friend of mine (Ben) told me ‘that I would have made a good Jew. As per my note of thanks for his large donation to ‘HOCKEY HELPS THE HOMELESS , I had hoped to have a coffee with him but now understand why the significance of his generosity and guess will have to grab that coffee one day when we meet again. I am sorry to be out of town for the funeral and remembrance. He has helped the homeless much like he helped others and will be remembered always.
