Obituary of Teresa Kwasniak ( Kupis)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the loss of Teresa Kwasniak of Calgary, AB, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at the age of 90 years.

Born in Debno, Poland, Teresa began her career as a nurse where she quickly advanced in her role and became top lead and specialist in the operating room. Teresa bravely immigrated to Canada in 1980 on her own to start a new life. She turned to what brought her passion: nursing, and volunteering. Teresa gave much of her time at the Polish Parish in Calgary, AB. She loved cooking, and sharing her recipes from back home.

In 1987, Teresa married Peter Kwasniak. They both loved to travel, and one of their memorable destinations was Hawaii. Teresa was a devoted woman to all, thoughtful friend, loving mother and mother-in law. Everyone who knew her regarded her as a hardworking personality, sharp wit, reliable and honest.

She will be greatly missed by her son and daughter-in-law,Ryszard and Bozena Chachura, family in Poland; Tadeusz, Aleksandra, Dariusz, Joanna and Oskar Oremus, friends and all those she touched with her humor and smile. She was predeceased by Władysław Chachura, Peter Kwasniak, and loving parents Anna and Stanisław.
