Obituary of Margaret Mary Moore
December 26, 1926 - Redvers, Saskatchewan
November 13, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta
Margaret Moore, beloved wife of Dennis Moore, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at the age of 95 years.
Margaret was born in Redvers, SK, on December 26, 1926. She married Dennis in 1970. Margaret accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of her knitting and sewing for her nieces, as well as anyone else who admired her work. She also knitted “preemie” bonnets for the newborns at local hospitals. Margaret enjoyed travelling with Dennis, as well as looking after and caring for her many pets. Margaret’s most memorable vacations were travelling to the United States, particularly Florida.
She will be most remembered for her great belief in her Faith, as well as her kindness and pleasant disposition.
Besides her loving husband, Margaret is survived by her four nieces and their husbands, Bunny and Paul Harris of London, ON; Tricia Hancock-Stretton and Tom (deceased) of Cambridge, ON; Rita and Ed Beth of Moose Jaw, SK; and Charmon and Franklin Nicol of Alliston, ON.
Margaret was predeceased by her brothers, Francis and Charles, and her sister Anne.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (Corner of Northmount Drive & Northland Drive N.W., Calgary, AB) on Monday, November 21, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at St. Luke’s Church.
