Obituary of Tommy (Thomas) Low
August 1, 1954 – Winnipeg, Manitoba
November 24, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta
Thomas Low of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at the age of 68 years.
Thomas was born in St. Boniface, Manitoba, 1954, he moved to Calgary, Alberta in 1984. Thomas graduated from the University of Manitoba with a degree in Bachelor of Commerce. He worked in Manitoba in a financial setting. Tommy was an extrovert and needed to be out and about meeting people. After relocating to Calgary, he went into Real Estate. Since then, he worked as a realtor in Calgary for many years until the time of his passing. He was extremely proud of being a member of the “Million Dollar Club”. Tom was also a member of the Rotary Club.
Tom also made a decision to follow Jesus while he was still in Winnipeg and was baptized with the Alliance denomination. Prior to the pandemic, he attended Center Street Church and served as a greeter and a facilitator for Alpha.
His favourite quote was “I don’t want to be the best, I just want to be better every day.”
Despite his physical limitations, the Big Guy strived and excelled as an accomplished realtor and there were no limits to what he would try to achieve. He loved and cared for his aged mom whom lived with.
Thomas is survived by his mother May; his older brothers, Allan (Marjorie), and Jerry (Linda); four nieces; and one nephew, all residing in Calgary, AB.
A Celebration of Life will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
