Obituary of Ranveig Aase Dypvik

June 23, 1926 – Oslo, Norway

November 25, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

Ranveig Dypvik (nee Vullum) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022, at the age of 96 years.

Born Aase Ranveig Vullum in Oslo (Ski) Norway. Ronnie and Rolf immigrated to Canada in 1952 with their two small daughters, after a difficult decision to leave behind their extended family in Norway. Ronnie is known for the craftsmanship of many hand-knit Norwegian Lusekofter and crocheted afghans. Her loving demeanor and wonderful disposition were cherished by all. This world’s loss is Heaven's gain. Ha Det Mama, Mormor, Oldemor.

Ronnie is survived by her three daughters, Audny Dypvik, Sissel Brooks-Dokimenko, and Irene Dypvik-Galts (James Galts-Goldsmith), all of Calgary. Ronnie is also remembered as Mormor to Shannon Warnke (Nathan Biluk), Pamela Hribnak (Mike Hribnak), Dain Galts (Rosalind Groenewoud), and Bergen Galts (Adam Ranson); and as Oldemor to Gabrielle Warnke, Hunter Warnke, Payton Hribnak, Cali Hribnak, Kelsey Biluk and Taelor Biluk. She was predeceased by her husband Rolf Martin Emil Dypvik in 2004, and her son-in-law Don Dokimenko in 2022, as well as many family members and close friends in Norway.

Heartfelt thanks to the wonderful team at Carewest Royal Park where Ronnie lived since 2018. Their warm and wonderful care these past years has been appreciated beyond measure.
