Obituary of Donna Lillian Moore (nee Rammage)

Donna Moore, beloved wife of Clyde Moore of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at the age of 79 years.

Donna was born in Weston, ON, on October 29, 1943.

Donna and Clyde met in high school, and they married on September 11, 1965. Upon marriage, they began a journey of 57 years together, living in four provinces from coast to coast across Canada. They settled in Calgary in 1983.

Over her lifetime she supported various sporting organisations, scouting movement and charities. She was a keen volunteer, supporting her children’s activities, and was a dedicated member of the church community.  Donna accomplished much through her life. She was noted for her skills in baking, knitting and sewing, winning awards in local community contests. Donna enjoyed visiting new places with her family.  She especially enjoyed summers in her trailer in Sundre and the camping community. Donna is remembered for her quick wit, warm smile and generosity to all that knew her.

Besides her loving husband Clyde, Donna is survived by her three children and their spouses, Carl and Loreen Moore of Stephen City, Virginia, Randy and Nikki Moore of Tiptree, Essex, and Cindee and Dan Scarrott of Red Deer, AB; five grandchildren, Kayla Willams and her husband Brandon Williams of Lynchburg, Virginia, Aidan, Callum and Ewan Moore of Tiptree, Essex, and Caitlin Scarrott of Red Deer, AB; and granddogs, Timbit, Hank, Rocky and Lucy. Donna is also survived by her sister, Barb Rousseau and her husband Ed Rousseau; her two brothers, Ross and Paul Baker; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Donna was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Dorothy Baker-Rammage and stepfather Gerald Baker.

A Funeral Service will be held at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church (1611 St. Andrew’s Place N.W., Calgary, AB) on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the church hall. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
