Condolences
We always had great parties when Eddie lived here in Scotland. After he'd gone to Canada, we would look forward to him coming back here on holiday. We would have a party and relive the good old days when Eddie played his guitar and we all sang our favourite songs. Just a pleasant memory now. We will miss him forever.
I can't believe I'll never see my baby brother again. I can remember the day he was born. We were all absolutely entranced by him, and I think we spoiled him rotten. He will be sorely missed, Another light gone out of the world.
I always associate Eddie with music. He introduced me to The Beatles. Every night when he came home from work, he hurried upstairs, and five minutes later, the Beatles sounded all over the house. We loved it! In his early teens, Eddie and three of his friends formed a folk group. They used to practise in our house nearly every night, and I used to sing along with them, They got a few gigs in some of the clubs.
We missed him, your mum, and you two girls so much when you left for Canada. I really don't know know how our mother got over it, but she and our dad saved up and went to visit you all a year or so later, It was quite an undertaking for them, as they had never flown; in fact, hardly ever travelled outside Glasgow, never mind taking an eight hour journey on a plane.. Rest In Peace, Eddie. Never forgotten
Goodbye beloved wee brother. You were a pleasure to us all your life. We'll never again sing along to your guitar playing. Hope you will still play for the angels. xxx
Your dad and Freda were visting Scotland one summer. They'd gone touring and when they came back it was my 9th (I think) birthday. They bought me a t-shirt which said "This kid's got class" on the front and my name on the back. There weren't many people called Celeste in Scotland and that was the first thing I'd ever had with my name on it. I LOVED that t-shirt! Our thoughts and sympathies are with you.
All my good memories are coming back of Friday nights having a drink and singing with him as he played his guitar. I missed his great sense of humour.
My condolences to his daughters, grandsons, his stepdaughter and his sisters and their families. He will be greatly missed.
