Obituary of Malcolm Victor Baxter

 

May 1, 1945 – Shipley, West Yorkshire

December 5, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

 

Malcolm Baxter, beloved husband of Patricia Baxter, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022, at the age of 77 years following a long and courageous battle with cancer.

 

Malcolm was born in Shipley, West Yorkshire, UK on May 1, 1945.

 

Malcolm married Patricia Baxter in 1967 and the family immigrated to Canada in 1982.  In Canada he worked as a Chief Inspector and retired from Exchanger Industries in 2008.  Malcolm accomplished much through his life and was particularly proud of his daughters. Malcolm loved his crossword puzzles, Rock and Roll music, watching/playing golf and wintering in Yuma, Arizona.

 

Besides his loving wife, Malcolm is survived by his daughters, Deborah Baxter (John) and Paula Baxter. He is also survived by his  grandchildren, Kaila Rebecca Bird and Andrew James Stephens; sister Pauline Speight; and his nephews, George, Ally, and Tom Speight. Malcolm was predeceased by his son Andrew.

 

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the care staff at the Southwood Hospice.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the Windsor Rose (151 Walden Gate SE). Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
