Concepcion Morales de Diaz, beloved wife of Felix Diaz Ramirez, of Airdrie, AB, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023, at the age of 65 years.

 

Concepcion was born in Barquisimeto, Estado Lara, Venezuela on November 9, 1957. She immigrated to Canada from Venezuela in 2019. Concepcion completed different courses to become a nurse at the Red Cross, and also a hair stylist. She volunteered in a hospital in Caracas, Venezuela. Concepcion also worked as kinder garden Teacher. Concepcion married Felix Diaz Ramirez on October 1, 1976.

 

She enjoyed having her own business in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, where she had the opportunity to manage her own jewellery store. Concepcion accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of her sons and daughter.

 

Concepcion loved to cook, specially, Venezuelan food. She enjoyed travelling with her family as well as admiring the night sky and aurora borealis. Her hobbies included crafting activities such as painting, knitting, sewing, making clothes, and looking after her pets. Other hobbies also included taking care of all her plants and flowers. She enjoyed spending time with her siblings and helping her neighbours and the community in general.

 

Concepcion’s most memorable life event was when she moved to Canada to join her kids. Concepcion was also a very religious person and devoted to the Virgin “Divina Pastora”.

 

She will be most remembered for helping people, family, friends, and their neighbours. She will also be remembered as a lovely and cheerful person and as a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, and mother.

 

Besides her loving husband, Concepcion is survived by her daughter and two sons, and two daughters-in-law and one son-in-law; Franzzis Diaz of Sarnia, ON, Felix Diaz Morales of Airdrie, AB, and Franz Diaz Morales, of Calgary, AB; daughters-in-law, Laura Diaz Morales of Airdrie, AB, Vera Hoogesteger Herrera of Calgary, AB; and son-in-law, Jean Carlos Urdaneta of Sarnia, ON.

 

Concepcion is also survived by her three brothers, Douglas, Juan, and Jhonny Morales; and three sisters, Pastora, Rosa, and Nancy Morales, of Barquisimeto, Venezuela; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

 

Mass Services will be held at Mary Mother of the Redeem (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E., Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
