Obituary of Oliver Harvey Abraham
November 17, 1961 – January 11, 2023
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Oliver Harvey Abraham, on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at the age of 61 years.
As a young man Oliver was an active horseman, horse trainer, bareback rider, calf roper, team roper, and all-around cowboy. He was so fond and cherished all his grandchildren which gave him a joyful life to become a proud grandfather.
Oliver is survived by his common-law-wife of 39 years Geraldine Twoyoungmen; his adopted son Blaine (Chantelle) Abraham; son Corley (Michelle) Rollinmud; his mother Georgie Poucette; brothers, Greaves, Coleman, Lenny, Harlon, Randal (Cynthia), Marvin (Elanor) Abraham, Vernon (Loretta) Abraham, Leroy (Lorna) Bull, and Reynard (Sharon) Poucette; sisters, Loraine Abraham, Merna and Marjorie Wesley Beaver, Shirley, Tracey (Mike), Carrie Labelle, Darlene, and Ruth; Auntie Cassie (Charlie); Uncle Charlie Abraham; mother-in-law Lori Ann, sisters-in-law Margery (Dave) Twoyoungmen, Laverne (Joey) Kootenay, Marilynn (Marlon), Debora (Henry), Leona (Tristen), Joleen (Jason), and Michelle Wesley; brothers-in-law Clarence (Olivia) Wesley Jr., Boyd (Kerry) Wesley, and Darren (Lyndsay); grandchildren, Rashaud, Greyson, Octavia, Miya, Jessie, Laura, Liam, Jonas, Kallie, Jake, Jiles, Delcey, Caris, Zaidyn, Aliyah, Ryker, Bentley, Emmanuel, Samuel, Brenna, and Patience; nieces and nephews, Roberta (Nobel), Kelvin, Alden (Lacey), Barrilyn (Jason), Todd (Olisha), Hyland, Lance (Ellis), Crystal (Andrew), Wacey (Violet), Tracy Abraham, Keshia (Taien), Tray, Colten, Kylen Holloway, Morgan Rabbit, Olisha (Quinten), and Dale (Hope); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives from Morley, Eden Valley, and Big Horn. Oliver was predeceased by his father Morgan Abraham; paternal grandparents Norman Abraham, and Bella Wesley; maternal grandparents John Sr and Jane Poucette; great-uncle Rock (Linda) Abraham, John Poucette Jr.; great-aunts Caroline Poucette Snow, Maryjane Snow, and Marjorie Shortneck; great-grandparents Hereditary Chief Peter “Ta-otha” and Nancy Wesley; nephews Steven, Windchild Abraham, and Oliver Poucette; nieces Clarissa Wesley Beaver and Sheryl Rollinmud; and cousins, Felicia, Cindy, Jewels Abraham, Verneil, and Jerome Poucette.
Wake Services will be held at the residence Margery Twoyoungmen (Morley, AB) on Wednesday, January 18 and 19, 2023. Funeral Services will be held at the Morley Gymnasium (Morley, AB) on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Chiniki Cemetery (Morley, AB) with a traditional feast to follow at the residence or Margery Twoyoungmen.
