Obituary of Rebecca Littlejohn

August 26, 1928 – Tacks Beach, Newfoundland

January 20, 2023 – Calgary, Alberta

Bridget Rebecca Littlejohn (nee Cumby), beloved wife of Max Littlejohn, of Calgary, AB, passed peacefully away with family by her side on Friday, January 20, 2023 at the age of 94 years.

Becky was born in Tacks Beach, NL on August 26, 1928.

Becky and Max moved from Newfoundland 20 years ago to live with their beloved daughter, and family. She took so much pride in her family, her home, her cooking, and baking, her entire life but, she always knew how to have a little fun! Her family is so thankful for all those values she left in our hearts.

The family extends a sincere thank you to the staff at Rockyview General Hospital unit 47 and the Staff at Southwood Care Center Parkland unit.

Becky never said goodbye, so we will say, “see ya later alligator!”, and keep our fond memories close until we meet again.

Becky leaves to mourn her husband of 64 years, Max Littlejohn, her daughter Gina Hoey (nee. Littlejohn), son-in-law Mark, granddaughter Molly, and grandson Aaron. She also leaves her cherished extended family in Newfoundland, and abroad, and her many friends, all of whom she loved dearly, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Becky was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Rebecca Cumby, and her eight siblings.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church (7 Sunmills Green S.E., Calgary, AB) on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Graveside Service to be held later at St. Lawrence Anglican Cemetery in Portugal Cove, NL.
