Obituary of Virginia Ventures Candaza

Virginia Ventures Candaza, beloved wife of Rodolfo Bobis Candaza, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at the age of 74 years, at 5:22 a.m.

 

Her maiden name was Virginia Ajena Ventures, and her nickname was Gie or Virgie. She was dearly called Gie among her sisters and brothers in CHRIST.

 

Virginia is survived by her loving husband Rudy of 53 years, their children Sonny and Sev; daughters-in-law, Nancy and Babylene; her seven grandchildren, Peter Paul, David Kyle, Troy Angelo, Tristan Emmanuel, Keira Sevyn, Kai Isaiah, and Keaton Zayn; and her siblings, Beth, Linda, Chris, Danny, Tess, and Alice.

 

She graduated from Calgary Business College. She worked in several Calgary banks like RBC, CIBC, and Scotiabank. She was very active in the fields of religious, charitable, and spiritual ministries and activities. Her favourite messages from our Lord God's words were “to love and serve in the Kingdom of God even here on earth as in heaven” and “to love and care for families, missions, and good works.”

 

She was friendly and kind, and also grateful and thankful to those who in one way or another has helped her; particularly to her sister-in-law, Amelia Candaza Dela Torre, for her special help and support to her family, especially when she and her family migrated here in Canada. Virginia was co-founder of the Caring Hands of Jesus Charitable Society (CHJ) of Calgary, Alberta. She was especially helpful and caring for CHJ beneficiaries.

 

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Prayers and Tributes will begin at 5:00 pm.

 

A Visitation will be held at Canadian Martyrs Catholic Church (835 Northmount Drive N.W., Calgary, AB) on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.

 

The family and relatives of our dearly beloved departed Sis, Virgie Candaza, would like to extend their wholehearted thanks and gratitude to everyone and all who are present, to her friends and kind guests who gave their time, resource, help, and the honour of their presence in their times of grief and sorrow of the great loss of the family.

 

Virgie Candaza's message or prayer for everyone is that “Each life is precious. It is a great gift from our loving God. Let us make our lives always thankful and grateful to God, to our loved ones, and to all."
