Obituary of Lorraine Dorothy Kruger

Lorraine Kruger (nee Anderson), of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at the age of 95 years.

Lorraine was born in Braddock, SK, on May 12, 1927. As a young adult, she attended Normal School and worked as a teacher for a number of years.

Lorraine married John Helmut “Moot” Kruger in 1954 and in 1956 they moved to Calgary, AB. She was a very accomplished knitter and crocheter, and over the years, many people have received her beautifully crafted work. Lorraine will be most remembered for her love of family and her faith.

Lorraine is survived by her two daughters Kathy and Laurie, and one son-in-law Mike, all of Calgary, AB, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Lorraine was predeceased by her beloved husband Moot, her parents Ralph and Mary; her sister Grace, and her brothers Roy, Vernon, Lorne (her twin), and Melvin.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of The Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Funeral Services will be held at Foothills Lutheran Church (3104 34 Avenue NW, Calgary, AB), on Thursday, February 02, 2023, at 1:00 pm. with a reception to follow. Graveside Service is to follow the reception at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
