Obituary of Ilona Kurcinak

December 30, 2023 – Calgary, Alberta

Ilona Kurcinak, of Calgary, AB, passed away at the age of 85 years, on Saturday, December 30, 2023.

She was born in Backa Topola, Jugodslavija on September 15, 1938, and moved to Calgary, AB in 1995.

Ilona is survived by her daughter Ilona Jurkovic (Martin), grandsons, Miroslav, Marko, Lucija, and Josipa; daughter-in-law Slavic, as well as her sister Mariska Sos. She was predeceased by her son Jozef Kurcinak.

Spending time with her grandson Marko and her daughter Ilona was what she loved most. She also enjoyed spending summer days in the garden with her flowers and travelling back home to spend time with family and friends.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church (819 – 13th Avenue S.W., Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
