Obituary of Monica Frances Daniel

Monica Daniel, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at the age of 86 years.

Monica immigrated to Canada in 1970, working primarily in the Oil and Gas industry. She was particularly proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Monica will be most remembered for her infectious laugh, her love of reading, and her wonderful home cooking.

Monica is survived by her two children, Edward (Corri), and Delisa; two grandchildren, Jillian (Jordan), and Theo; and two great-grandchildren, Memphis, and Clyde.

Monica was predeceased by her parents, Florence and Alfred Newsum; three brothers, Oscar, Wilfred, and Patrick; and two sisters, Marilyn, and Jaqueline.

The family says thank you to the ICU staff at the Peter Lougheed Centre for making Monica’s last days as peaceful as possible.
