Obituary of Kathleen Renton

Kathleen Renton passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, February 9, 2023, in her hundred and first year.  She was born in Bella Bella, B.C, and was the proud mother of four children; Bruce Renton (Lesley), Carol Newman (Patrick), Lynn Paulhus, Valerie Porter (Ted Holmes); grandmother to four, Maeghan Ballanger (Brad), Monique Paulhus-Lapierre (Mike), Brian Paulhus (Brigitte), Bradley Porter (Lindsay), and great-grandmother to Sydney Lapierre. 

Kathleen was predeceased by her father, Samuel Spencer Peat in 1943, mother Hilda Crossley Peat in 1962, brother John Crossley Peat in 1950, former husband John Sydney Renton in 1999, brother Samuel Spencer Peat (Pauline) in 2009, sister Mary Jones (Alan) in 2014, and sister Ruth Robertson (Stewart) in 2017. 

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mrs. Renton’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
