Obituary of Richard Leggett

William “Richard” Leggett of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023 at the age of 72 years.

Richard was born in Victoria, BC on October 22, 1950. He had six siblings. Growing up they spent plenty of time fishing, as they lived a block and half from the Ocean. From Victoria he spent some time in Vancouver, and then settled in Calgary, AB in 1997.

Richard worked at Japanese Village for 25 years, until he moved into the nursing home. It was at Japanese Village where he was able to pick up four different languages from working with and interacting with different cultures. He enjoyed art and loved being able to interact and create with students who came with their school to the nursing home.

Richard is survived by his siblings, Barry (Barb), Shirley, Peter, and Paul (Gayle); along with his niece and nephew, and great-niece.

Richard was predeceased by his parents, Gwendolyn and William “Albert”; brother Don, brother-in-law Bill, and sister-in-law Linda.
