Obituary of Isobel Mary SPROULE

Isobel, beloved wife of Norman Gordon Sproule, of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on May 21, 2019 at the age of 95 years. Isobel was born at home in Lefroy, Ontario. She was the youngest of three and had one brother and one sister. In September 1942 she went into nursing in Barrie, Ontario. She met Norman on a blind date and they were married at Scarboro United Church in Calgary on August 29, 1946. They enjoyed sixty-seven years of marriage. Isobel and Norman welcomed three children of their own, Dale, Jane, and Laura. Isobel is survived by her children, Dale (Gina), Jane, and Laura (Rob); grandchildren, Cheryl, Shawn, Jennifer, and Katherine; as well as her nieces and nephews. Isobel was predeceased by her loving husband, Norman Sproule as well as her brother, Ed and sister, Dorothy. A Memorial Service will be held at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME, 1708 – 16th Avenue NW (across from the North Hill Shopping Centre, Calgary) on Saturday, June 15 2019 at 2:00PM. Reception to follow at the funeral home.
