Obituary of Colleen Lori ROWE

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Colleen Lori Rowe, beloved wife of Cornell Rowe of Strathmore, on Friday, March 23, 2018 at the age of 46 years. Colleen was born in New Brunswick, moving to Calgary after high school to attend the University of Calgary and SAIT where she received her degree and two diplomas. She found employment in the Library at St. Mary's University where she has worked for the past 19 years. Colleen loved her cats dearly and was an avid gardener with a true green thumb. She and her husband saw the world on their many cruises. She especially loved travelling to ancient cultural sites around the world. Colleen is survived by her loving husband of 16 years Cornell; siblings, Marilyn, Raymond (Sheila), Bonnie, Cheryl, Ward (Andrea), Connie; her nieces, ‘little sister' Anne, Mary, Jill, Chrissy, and Elsa; and her nephews Mike, Bruce, Adam, and Sidney; as well as her beloved cats Kieran and Alice. Her memory lives on in her many family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Walter and Mary Smith as well as brothers, Brian, Ernie and Calvin. A Memorial Service will be held at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME, 1708 - 16th Avenue N.W. (across from the North Hill Shopping Centre, Calgary) on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home.
