Obituary of James Bruce ROBINSON

James Bruce Robinson of Calgary passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the age of 73 years. James started his long, successful business career as a paperboy, going on to attend and graduate in the Sciences at the University of Alberta in Calgary. His involvement in the Naval ROTC, came from his strong sense of duty, love for Canada, and passion for the open water. He went on to develop a thriving Accounting practice for many years, and was still working, albeit semi-retired. He will be fondly remembered for his generous heart, support of many charities, great sense of humour, and as an avid traveler. James enjoyed the finer things in life including great food, good wine and wonderful friendships with everyone he met. James is survived by his son, Cory; daughter, Shannon; sisters, Phyllis and Jean; nephews, Don (Donna), Mike (Kirsten), Matt (Lynn); great-nieces, Jennifer (Kevin), Brooklyn; great-nephew, Rayne; as well as numerous family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, James Bruce Robinson and Edith Mary Robinson (nee Gould). A Memorial Service will be held at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME, 1708 - 16th Avenue N.W., Calgary (across from the North Hill Shopping Centre) on Friday, November 25, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., Celebration of Life reception following.
