Obituary of Brenda Lynn IRWIN

November 12, 1959 – Saskatoon, Saskatchewan February 27, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and sister Brenda Lynn Irwin on Wednesday, February 27, 2019. Brenda passed away unexpectedly at the age 59 in her home in Calgary, AB. Brenda was born November 12, 1959 in Saskatoon, SK and grew up there. Brenda was full of life, outgoing, and loved the arts. In high school she participated in theater having roles in all the school plays. She attended City Park Collegiate Institute (CPCI), where she won awards participating in Drama Club and the Lit Night Variety Show. She graduated from CPCI in 1977. She attended the Kelsey Institute of Applied Arts and Science and obtained a drafting certification. She also attended Brigham Young University and the University of Saskatchewan. Brenda enjoyed gourmet cooking and loved to try her hand at countless recipes. Brenda excelled at everything she touched. Her close attention to detail was evident in her work. She loved to do all things associated with the arts especially painting, decorating, and designing. She taught dance, ran pageants, and fashion shows. Brenda loved to travel with her family and made each trip into an exciting adventure. Brenda’s world revolved around her two daughters whom she loved with all her heart even when they couldn’t be together. Though distance separated them she was always kept them close to her heart. She loved to talk to her granddaughters and send them cards and gifts for their birthdays. Her time on Earth was way too short. She will be greatly missed. Brenda is survived by her two daughters, Angela and Kristine; and their husbands, Hyrum and Dustin; her five grandchildren, Breauna, Evanee, Brinley, Desmond, and Keegan; and her sister Heather. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Irwin and Adena E. Irwin (Striemer); and her granddaughter, Aubriel Madison Turner. Funeral services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (), on Monday, April 8, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
