MANSOUR, Becky Suk Ling April 8, 1956 - Hong Kong September 11, 2015 - Calgary Alberta It is with great sadness that we annouce the passing of Becky Suk Ling Mansour, beloved wife and mother, on Friday, September 11, 2015. Born in Hong Kong in 1956, Becky grew up as an exceptional swimmer and was a teacher for several years. Becky moved to Calgary in 1977 to attend the University of Calgary in pursuit of a geography degree. It is in Calgary where she met and married Nabil T. Mansour. Becky worked for many years at the Calgary Immigrant Aid Society and then as a Legal Assistant and Court Clerk. Becky spent many years taking her daughter to Hong Kong to visit family and friends and enjoyed staying in touch with those abroad. In her later years, she developed a new passion for the great outdoors. She met and became close friends with a group from the Hostelling Outdoor Group. With this group, Becky hiked and scrambled some of the tallest mountains in the Rockies and completed over 300 hikes in only 8 years! She also made many memorable trips including her favourites to Burma and Nepal. Becky was known to be a very strong woman, vibrant, social and always happy. Becky is survived by her husband of 34 years, Nabil and by her daughter Vivianne. She will also be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews as well as her many many friends.
