Obituary of Gerrit VAN OOSTEN

VAN OOSTEN, Gerrit (Gerry) February 27, 1934 - Emmen, Drenthe, The Netherlands September 12, 2015 - Calgary, Alberta Gerrit Van Oosten beloved husband of Marina Van Oosten passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 12, 2015 at the age of 81 years. Gerrit was born in Emmen, The Netherlands and came to Canada in 1954, where he enjoyed many years as a successful drywall contractor. Gerrit is survived by his loving wife, Marina; daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret and Greg Roseneder and Donna and Brad Ziegler; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Holly; cherished grandchildren, Angela, Mason, Kayla, Dillon, Brett and Brooke; two brothers, John(Ursula) and Arie, one sister, Margaret Pasveer and their families. He was predeceased by his parents, Gerrit and Anna; brother, Albert and sister Anne. A Memorial Service will be held at Calgary Community Reformed Church, 1638-30th Avenue SW on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Please forward condolences through www.hffs.com.
