Obituary of Mary TELFORD

TELFORD, Mary (nee Farrer) 1928 - 2014 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mary Telford of Calgary on November 21 at the age of 86. Mary was born in Rockcliffe, Cumbria, England where she enjoyed family visits to the seaside. Mary immigrated to Canada with soon to be husband Alan and was married in Edmonton. Mary was a kind, caring person whose door was always open and had a smile that would light up a room. Everyone always enjoyed her homemade cakes, cookies, and especially her delicious cupcakes. Mary and Alan lived most of their retirement years in the Okanagan Valley where they spent many hours in their garden and walking the local trails with their dog. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Alan; daughters Sheila and Lynn; sons Paul and Wayne; grandson Scott, and several nieces and nephews who live in Canada and England. She was predeceased by her sisters Annie and Phyllis. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to a charity of your choice
