Obituary of Richard Charles MORLEY
Richard Charles Morley, you will forever be in our hearts. It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Rick, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Rick passed away peacefully on September 23, 2014. Rick was born on September 9th, 1945 in Montreal. In 1967 he met his best friend and true love, Joanne, whom he married in 1969. In 1976 they moved to St. Albert and shortly after planted their roots in fort McMurray where they stayed for 20 yrs. Rick was very active in his community and received an award of recognition for his volunteer contributions from the Governor General. In 1999 Rick and Joanne moved to Calgary where the Stampeders gained a loyal fan. Rick was also a very avid Hockey fan. There weren't too many weekends during hockey season where Rick couldn't be found watching a hockey game or practice. Rick loved watching and cheering on his grandchildren, whether it was at hockey, soccer, swimming or even dance class. Rick was a very proud father and grandfather. His family meant the world to him. Rick enjoyed life and was contemplating retirement from his sales manager position at Tower Chrysler. In recent years he enjoyed travelling with Joanne on great vacations. Rick will be dearly missed by his loving wife Joanne, sons Brent and Colin, daughters in law Reagan and Mala, Grandchildren Ethan, Sydney, Tyler, Nathan, Josh, Noah, Colby and Zak, brother and sister in law Doug and Donna, niece Allison and family, neighbours, colleagues and friends. The family would like to acknowledge all the doctors and staff at the Tom Baker Centre and the Agape Hospice for the loving care that they gave Rick over the last 7 months. Donations to the Agape Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
