Obituary of Elizabeth Anne MURDOCK
April 25, 1957 – Calgary, Alberta
February 8, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta
Elizabeth (Betty) Anne Murdock was called to her eternal home on the evening of February 8, 2019 at the age of 61 years.
Born and raised in Calgary, Betty was a long-time resident of Bethany Care Centre. Previous to moving to Bethany, Betty attended Christine Meikle School where she made many friends. She then attended ARBI for several years, where she worked on motor skill activities and making more friends. Many of the last years, Betty enjoyed attending Indefinite Arts with her companion Debbie. Her time there resulted in many lovely paintings, ceramic figurines and mosaic art pieces. She often gifted her best pieces of art to family members. Betty loved her family, special occasions and music and was always quick to remind us of her upcoming birthday. She had an unwavering faith and an admirable acceptance of her life long challenges.
Betty is survived by her brothers Tom (Sally Scabar) and Stan (Jackie), her sister Kathleen Cimino (Domenic); and by nieces Connie Reimer (Klaus), Denise Haase (Ron Albinati –deceased), Tree Murdock, Stephanie Murdock (Steve Fisher), Jennifer Bonilla (Carlos), Lisa-Anne Bruce (Tim) and her nephew Sam Cimino (Laura Armstrong); and by several great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her father and mother, Stan and Peggy Murdock; and her sister Mary.
