Obituary of Norah Beatrice HASLAM

With much sadness, we announce the death of our mother at the age of 103 years. She was born in Stavely, Alberta and moved to Calgary in 1931 where she met and married her beloved husband, Hensley. They shared 58 wonderful years together during which time they raised their four children. Norah is survived by Ross (Dawna) Haslam, Myrna (Bill) Fraser, Donna (Doug) Highfield and Lynda (Brian) Pendle; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, son-in-law, brother and three sisters. She devoted her life to raising her family. She became an excellent seamstress, designing many of the clothes she created. In later years she became interested in painting. She was a member of "The Group" who recognized her work by awarding her a Honorary Life Membership in their organization.
