Obituary of Florence Margaret COLVIN

Mrs. Florence "Margaret" Colvin of Calgary, passed away peacefully at Bethany Care Centre Harvest Hills on October 12, 2013 at the age of 92 years, with her daughter at her side. Margaret was born and grew up in Maple Creek Saskatchewan. She attended business school and worked in the bank in Maple Creek. During World War II she moved to Calgary to work at the Bank of Montreal main branch in Calgary. She married husband John in 1953 and retired from the bank when daughter Wendy arrived. Margaret is survived by daughter Wendy of Calgary and brother Bert Wade of Jasper; Sisters-in-Law Esther Wade and Nell Bowerman; nieces: Marcia, Patricia, Judy and Leslie, and nephews James and Bill. Margaret was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, John Colvin, and her brother William Wade of Medicine Hat. A Memorial Service will be held at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME, 1708 - 16th Avenue N.W. (across from the North Hill Shopping Centre, Calgary) on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to Bethany Harvest Hills, 19 Harvest Gold Manor N.E., Calgary, AB,T3K 4Y1, where she was lovingly cared for by the Bethany staff.
