Obituary of Trellis Mae SMITH

Trellis Mae Smith, formerly Cox, of Calgary, passed away peacefully at Foothills Hospital on the morning of July 30, 2013 at the age of 72 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Trellis was born in Gilbert Plains, MB on September 29, 1940 to Esther and Esty Nickle. A long-time resident of Calgary, formerly of Yellowknife, NT and Dauphin, MB, Trellis worked for many years with Hershey Canada, was an avid curler and was actively involved with the Calgary Curling Club. Trellis is survived by her brother Lorne Nickle; 2 sons, Guyle (Ruth) Cox and Blake (Stephanie) Smith; 3 daughters, Tara Cox, Jodee Smith, and Marla (Gordon) Crewe; 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
