Obituary of Laurie Alan VAILE

Laurie Alan Vaile passed away on Monday July 8, 2013 after a courageous 32 year battle with MS. He was born in Vulcan, Alberta but was raised and educated in Calgary. After completing three years of University in Calgary, he was accepted into the U of A Law School. Due to the severity of the MS, he was not able to attend U of A but ultimately received his BA from Athabasca University. In spite of the limitations imposed on him, Laurie had such an appreciation and zest for life. His humility, wit, courage, and gratitude were an inspiration to all who knew and loved him. Laurie encompassed it all - he was intellectual, athletic, artistic, philosophical and articulate. He will be forever missed by his mother Muriel; his sisters Val, Brenda and Denise; his brothers Dan and David; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Rod in 2005 and his brother-in-law Ron Layne in 2010.
