Obituary of Yvonne Catherine TAIT

Yvonne Tait of Calgary, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2012 at the age of 57 years. Yvonne is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Catherine (Darren) Busshoff; son, Tyrone (Cindy) Tait; six grandchildren, her father, Winandus André (Muriel Johnson); sister, Dawn (Larry) Novak; brother Marcel André; niece Melisa Novak; nephew, Matthew Novak, one great-nephew as well as numerous extended family in England and Holland. She was predeceased by her mother, Bridget André. Yvonne was born in Birmingham, England, she and her family moved to Holland in 1958 and later immigrated to Canada in 1961. Yvonne grew up in the Okotoks and Calgary area. After marrying her childhood sweetheart, William Tait and having two children, she returned to Okotoks to raise her family where she lived for many years. Yvonne was known for her love of animals and gardening, always nursing some animal to health or growing lush plants. She will be remembered for her sense of humour, incredible courage, strength and generosity. A Celebration of Yvonne's Life will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 - 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queen's Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Please forward condolences through www.hffs.com.
