Obituary of Gertrude Margarete GIPPERT

On Sunday, April 15, 2012, Gertrude Gippert passed away peacefully at Calgary Foothills Medical Centre at the age of 95. She was predeceased by her adoring husband, Erich Gippert, in 1988. Gertrude's funny humour, love of classical music, delicious baking, and impeccable style were her trademarks. She often reminisced about her childhood in Germany, her experience as a refugee after WWII, her immigration to Canada, and the life she later built with her husband and close family in Calgary, Alberta. Our dear "Tante Trudy/Tutta" will be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews: Judy Grant, Karin Steiner, Peter Jepp, Roland Jepp (and their families including her six great-nieces and nephews); and sister-in-law Jutta (Judy) Jepp. A Memorial Gathering will be held at a later date, by invitation.
