Obituary of Beverly Ruth STAAL

Beverly "Ruth" Staal died peacefully on January 10, 2012 at the age of 72 years. She raised her family and lived in Calgary for nearly 50 years. Ruth is survived by her three sons, one daughter and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband. Ruth loved the outdoors: bugs (ladybugs, especially), frogs and lizards, cats, photography, funny things about language (puns), cooking, fishing and being a Mom. She worked at Golden Acres (Greengate) Garden Centre for thirty years and was a published author and a recognized authority on everything "plants". She will be fondly remembered by her family, friends, many Calgarians and beyond. In lieu of flowers, please go fishing or camping, or make a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Calgary.
