Obituary of Katherine Ruth TOMLINSON

Kate left us suddenly on Sunday, October 3rd, 2010 in her 54th year. She was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia but called Calgary her real home. She is survived by her brother Paul; sisters: Chris Emans (Bob), Jane McLeod (Don), and Martha Tomlinson; nephews: Richard and Kevin, and nieces: Jane, Beth and Nyssa. Most special to her were Jennifer Marquis who was always by her side, and Jayne Armour her very good friend for over thirty years. Kate was predeceased by her parents, Lloyd and Ruth Tomlinson, and her brother Philip. Everyone who knew Kate remembers her as beautiful, personable and very bright. A Memorial Service was held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queens Park Cemetery) on Tuesday, October 12, 2010. Interment was on Saturday, October 23rd, 2010 at Park Lawn Cemetery in Toronto. There will be a gathering of her friends in Ottawa in July, 2011. Please call Jim Armour (Ottawa) for details.
