My sincere sympathy to Les' family and my extreme gratitude for his niece keeping me informed and allowing me to visit. I grew to love Les who told me so much of his time during the war, his years on the farm, his time with the Commissionaires. I will hold dear the times we laughed together and the way he took such an interest in me and my life, allowing me to 'bully' him so that I knew he had all he needed. I will miss him so much. Les was one of the great ones - a genuinely decent man!
