Obituary of Agnes TAYLOR

Agnes Taylor of Calgary, passed away peacefully at the George Boyack Carewest Centre on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the age of 96 years. Agnes was born in Crossroads, Scotland and came with her family to their homestead farm west of Carstairs in 1926. She moved to Olds with her son David in 1936 where she did housekeeping for Rodney Crabs. In 1955 they moved to Calgary and Agnes was employed at Rileys Datashare for many years. Agnes loved her home, her yard, her family and was able to be in her own home until January 2009. She is survived by her loving son David, many cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Agnes was predeceased by her daughter-in-law Catherine; very special companion Rodney Crabs; parents Gavin and Martha Shearer; sister and brother-in-laws: Martha and Oliver Darling, Annie and Alex Hunter, Peggy and Jim Millar, and her brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Frieda Shearer. She will be missed by all who knew her. May she rest in Peace. A Memorial Service was held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queens Park Cemetery) on Friday, December 3, 2010 at 2:00 p.m.
