Condolences
My parents met Mary on a trip to England and they became fast friends as my father (Roy) was raised in Inglewood. The friendship continued after they returned and I know my father will be sorry to hear of her passing. I often ran in to Mary at functions especially Theatre Calgary and we never missed having a chat. She was a wonderful and will be missed. My condolences to her family
Mary and Hazel shared a love for dried lichees. She would tell Hazel long stories of her family's Chinese cook who first introduced this delicacy to her when she was little. Whenever Hazel was in Hong Kong she would try to find some to bring back for Mary. Thank you Mary, for the privilege of your friendship. To the Lynas family, our deepest condolences for a shared loss. Ken & Hazel
Gary and Alan, Your Mother was a great lady. She will be missed. Our sincere and heartfelt sympathy.
My sincerest condolences on the passing of Mary. Mary was always a good listener and a valuable source of knowledge regarding history about Colonel Walker School. When I was principal there from 1999-2003 Mary would often come to talk to the students and they were in awe of her. Whenever I saw Mary at Theatre Calgary she always remembered me. Her passing will leave a deep void.
