Obituary of Jean JACKSON

Jean Jackson (nee Petrus) of Calgary passed away peacefully in the presence of her children on Friday, May 13, 2011 at the age of 83 years. Jean was born in Beausejour, Manitoba the youngest of seven children to Paul and Mary Petrus. She married Harold Jackson in Halifax in October 1948 and made their home in Toronto. Jean is survived by her loving family; son and daughter-in-law, Ross and Dee Jackson and their children; Paul (Nadia)and Kate all of Calgary; her daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and John Sames of Barbados and their son Tristan of New Zealand; her sister, Kay and many cherished nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold in 1993. A Celebration of Jeans Life will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queens Park Cemetery) Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. A Private Family Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery.
