Obituary of Stephen Morgan HOPPER

After a long battle with cancer, Stephen Hopper of Calgary passed away on August 31, 2011 at the age of 60 years. Stephen was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, but grew up in Regina. He attended Luther College and the University of Regina and then settled in Calgary in the early 1970s. Stephen is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Steve Beaudet, his nieces Samantha Garvin (Tim) and Nicole Hughes (Gareth)and his grandnieces Morghan and Avery Hughes. He was predeceased by both parents; his mother, Maxine in 1993 and his father Hugh in 1968. Our family would like to extend our sincere gratitude and acknowledgement to Steves good friend Richard Paul for his continued support. The family also wishes to extend its most heartfelt thanks to the compassionate and caring staff at the Dr. Vernon Fanning Centre for making Steves last days safe and comfortable, while providing him the freedom to live his life as he chose.
