Obituary of Nils Einar HANSSON
Nils Einar Hansson, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 8, 2010 at the Rockyview General Hospital at the age of 82 years.
Nils was born December 5, 1927 in Malmo, Sweden. He immigrated to Canada in 1952 and became a Journeyman Gasfitter and Steamfitter, practising his trade through out Alberta. Nevertheless, his true passion was in construction. His expertise and meticulous work was in high demand by his friends and families. He was always happy to lend his hand and leadership in almost every home renovation or building project that presented itself. Nils was also an avid traveller, putting in many thousands of air and driving miles over the years while visiting friends or exploring new places. He was also a good and generous friend to many people across the province a kind man that all could trust and count on. He will be missed. Nils is survived by his brother Stig, his sister Elsa, and his sister in law Alva, all of Sweden. He is also lovingly survived by his Canadian family in particular Linda (nee Bjorkman) Jacobsen who cared for him in his later years.
A Memorial Service for Nils was held at the St. Andrews Heights Community Hall, 2504 13 Avenue N.W., Calgary, Alberta on Sunday, October 24th, 2010.
