I'm shocked to find out that Dale passed away. I knew him from the Pumphouse days and I am the proud owner of 2 of his paintings which live with me in Houston now. I remember seeing Dale at the Stampede as the artist in residence. He had an amazing talent and I was suddenly struck by that when I saw him painting in a public forum with such confidence. I sat and visited with him that day for about an hour and Dale just kept painting as we chatted. I feel so fortunate to have known him.

Derwin, Daryl and family, It was a shock when I heard about Dale. Before I worked in the Arctic Dale and I spent a lot of time togther and it was really great to touch base with him last fall. His friend Kathie and I spent a few days togther and had a really great time. Dale always had the ability to make us laugh. His little snicker and infectious laugh will be missed. My prayers and condolences go out to you guys and your family
