Obituary of Margretha "Nel" Pietronella DENBURY

Nell Denbury of Calgary, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2010 at the age of 86 years. Nell was born in Steenwijk, Holland and came to Canada as a war bride in 1946. She has resided in Calgary where she raised her family and enjoyed all the area could provide. Nell loved to go hiking, camping, and enjoyed the mountains and outdoors. She had a passion for crocheting and knitting, often making afghan blankets for others. Nell is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Les and Karen Denbury; grandsons, Matthew and Michael; sister, Jacoba (Coby) Kuis in Holland; as well as two nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas and an infant daughter, Heather. A Memorial Service was held at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME, on Friday, October 15, 2010.
