So sorry for your loss. I have wonderful memories of our time together.
Our deepest sympathy is with you all at this difficult time,
Everyone loved Joanne who had the privelege of getting to know her well. I was one of those lucky ones. Joanne will always be special in my heart - for never complaining despite 24/7 pain from being such a dedicated nurse (Deadeye Delaney, who never missed a vein!); from being so very proud of all her kids and grandkids; from her 'Never Quit' attitude that meant being a great single parent, etc., was just a little bigger bump in the road - no problem; from her fierce loyalty to traditions (hence the loads of Xmas decorations, surely enough for 6 trees, that you boys won't have to lug up and down stairs any more; and for wrapping it all up in her inferiority complex (much better than the opposite) because she was always content to stay in the background. To Joanne's 3 kids she loved and cherished, the funeral service will be more difficult than you may realize when you are hit with the stark reality that the one who gave you life has passed. In those moments of despair, remember and rejoice in the many memories of your mom that you will always have stored in your hearts. I will be trying to 'practice what I'm preaching.' on Friday. Deepest condolences from, Doug Abraham
