Obituary of Ronald "Ron" Albert BRIGGEMAN
Ron Briggeman, beloved husband of Betty Briggeman, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2011 at the age of 82. Ron was born in Trail, British Columbia to Grace and William Briggeman. He married Betty Millen on October 4, 1952. He received a degree in Geology from the University of Alberta in 1952 and began his career in the oil and gas industry, retiring in 1986. In 1990 Ron and Betty moved to Vernon, B.C where he was very active in the outdoors. Ron especially loved to be on the lake, waterskiing, canoeing, fishing and scuba diving. He was also an avid sportsman, he loved to play slow pitch, cross country ski and skate with his brother Mel. Ron also enjoyed travelling with his Bett. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered for his ironic sense of humour, his contagious smile and love for his family.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Betty; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Greg Sim, Debbie and Brian Berg; son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Nancy Briggeman; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Mel (Sandra) Briggeman, sister-in-law, Donna Briggeman as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Ray in January 2011.
