Condolences
Auntie Jean and Uncle Bill: Your home always felt like my second home. You opened your hearts to me and contributed in a great way to who I am today. Uncle Bill lived to make others happy first and I will miss him dearly. The whole world needs an Uncle Bill like the one we had.
Marc, Barb & family... So sorry to hear about your Dad/Grandfather. Thoroughly enjoyed meeting him many years ago at your wedding. Our thoughts are with you. Love Judy & Patrick
I knew Bill because of being involved with the community schools for many years. I always enjoyed his wit, charm, and that twinkle in his eye. When we found out that Bill was retiring, I asked him what he was going to do now. His reply, "I am going to be a sexy senior citizen." A while later I found a sign that said "Sexy Senior Citizen" so I got it for him. He was thrilled that now it was going to be official with the sign. Remember all of the laughs you shared with Bill, it helps in your own healing. He will be remembered with such fondness by those of us he knew way back when.
Ann, I was very saddened to read about your dad's passing. It brought back many memories of when we worked together. My deepest sympathy on your loss. Marguerite
Dear Ann and Family; I saw today that your Dad has passed away. First let me say how sad I was to learn of his passing and how much my heart goes out to you and your family. Seeing his picture brought back a flood of wonderful memories. Last year when I ran into you at school Ann, and was able to talk to your Dad again after so many years, was truly a joyful experince. His vibrant zest for life and an uncommon sense of humor set your Dad apart. It was your Father that encouraged and pushed me to return to school and become a teacher. I have always considered him to be my mentor, but even more than that, I was proud to call him friend. Some of us are fortunate in life to know a man such as your Father. Please thank your family for sharing Bill with those of us who were blessed to know him. God bless you all. With depest regards John Cramp
We are very sorry to hear of Bill's passing. Our hearts go out to Bill's family. Annie B. we love you and are thinking about you. Rhonda, Matt & Jeremy
Dad connects us all and the space which holds his words, actions and gestures is filled with his presence. Love you and love you all.
Dear Dad, You will remain forever in my heart. I learned many life skills from you, most importantly to love unconditionally. I will carry your voice, your humor and your actions with me forever. You truly were a gentle man and set a fine example of how to live my life to the fullest. Love always, Margaret
Bill was my principal at DHCS. I taught for Bill from 1977-79 when I left to raise my children. When I was ready to return to teaching in 1984, Bill made sure I got a job back at his school. He opened a door that was half closed due to high numbers of teachers wanting jobs. For that I am grateful. I continue to sub for the CBE and know he was responsible in part for the teacher I am today and my great love of helping young minds expand and learn. I have thought of Bill many times over the past years. Please accept my sincere sympathies for the loss of a great man, husband, father, grandfather, teacher, principal and friend. Marg Hunt
Dear Mom, I just want you to know how much you and dad meant to me and Jonathon. There were many times when your support kept me going through tough times and you and dad never said that you were too busy to help us out when you were asked. We had many good times and lots of laughs. When Daryl joined our family you and dad made him feel like he had been with us all along. You always had that nack. I loved travelling with you and dad when we were little children and when we went to Montreal to see Jon graduate from St. Jean's Basic Camp. I will always keep my memories of you and dad together in my heart. Thank you for being my parents. I'll miss dad. Love Ann
Our sincerest sympathy go out to you Jean and family.
I was shocked and saddened to see the Calgary Herald and Legacy this morning. Bill's spirit will always echo in school halls and our hearts. He made such an impact on so many lives...we so often thought of him and Jon and wondered how all of you were doing. Our hearts and prayers truly go out to you; Bill was an amazing, positive, humourous man. Our deepest sympathies especially to Jean, Ann and Jonathon but to all of Bill's family, we hold you in our hearts and prayers. We have all lost an incredible human being.
