Obituary of Wilfred William Shalenko

December 12, 1933 – Perdue, Saskatchewas December 14, 2019 – Calgary, AB Wilfred Shalenko of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the age of 86 years. Wilf accomplished much through his life and particularly enjoyed singing and gardening. He studied Voice for a number of years and completed grade 10 exams from the Toronto Conservatory of Music with honours. With gardening, Wilf won many awards with the Calgary Horticultural Society. In 1988 he won the highest mark ever in the Composite Gardening Category where his mark was 98/100. Wilf is survived by his nieces, Barb Adams and Kim Shalenko; and nephews, Richard Shalenko and Keith Rathwell. Wilfred is also survived by his brother Donald. Wilfred was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Ruby.
